High School and High School Staff
Various publishers are used for our High School curriculum. Social Studies, Science, and Spanish classes use BJU materials, Math classes use Holt, English classes read a variety of classic novels, and Bible courses use materials from Alpha & Omega and Positive Action. Students take Bible each year of high school and all high school students participate in monthly service projects, as part of their Bible grade. All high school courses are year-long, except for Spanish 1 & 2 (semester courses). Juniors and Senior have the opportunity to take dual enrollment courses through the CCCP program at Wilkes Community College. In addition to academic requirements, our seniors must participate in the senior mission trip (1 week in the spring) and complete 20 hours of volunteer service prior to graduation. The high school staff sets high academic standards because we believe that all students can learn and succeed with the appropriate support. Please visit our Alumni page, where you can read testimonials and view colleges that our graduates have attended.

Nathan Atwood | Spanish 1 & 2 Teacher
I’ve been at MCCS since January 2019 and I truly enjoy teaching Spanish to the 10th grade students. My family and I served as missionaries to Guatemala and Honduras which is how I learned the language. We still serve in a part-time, remote role with our missions agency as member care advocates and apprenticeship directors.

TJ Bostic | Science & Social Studies Teacher
I teach U.S. History, World History, Biology, and Physical Science. I love football, wood burning art, bon fires, studying Scripture, and playing with my mini-me's, Granger and Presley.

Natasha Evans | Math & Science Teacher, High School Guidance Counselor & WCC Liaison
I began my teaching career at MCCS in 2007, when the school expanded to offer high school classes. I primarily teach math and sciences courses and serve as the Senior Advisor and CCP Coordinator for dual enrollment classes. I'm married and have two children that attend MCCS.

Pastor Ryan Marlow | Bible, HS Choir & History Teacher
I'm honored to be able to teach both Bible and Choir to the high schoolers at MCCS!  Working with this age group allows me to dig in a little deeper and challenge their growth in grace. The 2020-2021 school year is my sixth year being part of the faculty at Millers Creek Christian School. In addition to teaching here, I am the Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in the Windy Gap community of North Wilkesboro, I have a daily radio broadcast at noon on our local Christian station, WWWC 1240AM/ 100.1FM, and I also am a certified piano technician. I graduated from Bethel Baptist Institute with my Associates, Bachelors, and recently my Masters of Biblical Studies and Theology. I also graduated from West Lenoir Baptist Bible College with my Associates in Music, with an emphasis on choir directing. I am a man of many interests, but my primary hobbies are classic air-cooled Volkswagens (I own a '72 Super Beetle, "Henry"), disc golf, and traditional golf. I have been married to my best friend for 14 years, and have 3 beautiful children. God has been gracious to me, and I approach my daily opportunities to serve Him very sincerely. My desire is to redeem the time I've been given, and be a good steward in all areas of my life. My life verse is Proverbs 17:22, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Amy Pruitt | English Teacher
I teach the English I, II, III, and IV courses here at MCCS.  I love shopping, fishing, reading, and spending time with my family.  I have three children who attend MCCS, and we love to play games and spend time outside.
