2023 CSAA DIVISION III
STATE CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to Millers Creek Christian Middle School Students for a 1st place finish in a math competition. The students compete monthly against schools from all over North America in Math quizzes and games. They received a first place trophy for scoring close to 3,000 points the month of January. The students were working on multiplication table games, sixth grade data/statistics, 7th grade ratios/proportions, and 8th grade volume/surface area lessons. The students were excited to compete against schools from across North America and researched information on the school in 2nd place from Denver Colorado.

2022 Senior Mission Trip
Our Seniors are required to attend a mission trip each year as part of their graduation requirements. Our seniors went to Louisiana this year. They had the privilege to work with Samaritan's Purse on several projects.
Below are just a few pictures of their week in Louisiana!

Our Board Games/Puzzle club playing a "board game"! They were competing to see who could be the first to balance 11 nails on one nail driven into a board. It involved puzzling engineering principles!
MCCS would like to thank Mrs. Leah Church for taking her time to come and share her testimony
with the middle and high school ladies last night! We had a wonderful time of fellowship!
Thank you also to all of the mothers who prepared food for the meal as well!

Students Attend Workforce
Development Summit
The 12th Grade Consumer Math class attended the Wilkes Workforce Development Summit hosted by the Wilkes Economic Development Corporation and learned about economic trends affecting workforce nationally and locally. There were over one hundred Business Owners, Community Leaders, and Resource Partners in attendance. The students participated in breakout groups--providing insight from their generation's perspective to identify incentives which can be implemented to attract and retain workforce. It was an honor to network with so many talented leaders who live and work in Wilkes County, and we are grateful to Wilkes EDC for welcoming us to participate.
